Okafor Agro: a second cassava grating line.

The founder of a cassava processor in Ifo, Ogun State, wants to raise output from 4 to 9 tonnes a day by installing a second grating line. Two feed mills have signed three-year offtake agreements for the extra output.

The project costs ₦25,000,000: ₦19,000,000 for the line, installed, and ₦6,000,000 of working capital. It is funded by a ₦20,000,000 grant and ₦5,000,000 of the founders’ own money, 20% of the cost.

At 260 operating days and ₦20,500 a tonne, year 1 revenue is ₦47,970,000. With cost of goods at 55% and operating costs of ₦12,600,000, EBITDA is ₦8,986,500, an 18.7% margin. Operating profit recovers the project cost in about 2.8 years, and the project creates 14 jobs, at ₦1,428,571 of grant per job.

In DocuCraft, the founder answers the diagnostic, checks these figures on the Figures step, lets each section be written with the figures locked in, and exports a sealed PDF and a grant panel deck.
