Terms of use
Last updated 8 October 2026 · Draft under review by our lawyer. If anything changes materially, we’ll tell you by email before it applies.
These terms apply when you use DocuCraft, as a client preparing documents or as an expert offering services. By creating an account you agree to them.
1. Your account
You sign in with your email address. Keep access to that email secure, give accurate details and don’t share your account. You are responsible for what is done with it.
2. What DocuCraft does, and doesn’t
DocuCraft helps you prepare documents from your own answers and files. Figures are calculated from what you enter, and AI drafts the wording. You are responsible for checking that everything in your documents is true and complete before you submit or send them.
No document, review or expert can guarantee a funding, admission or hiring decision.
DocuCraft prepares applications for grants, prizes, zakat-funded support, equity and your own funds only: funding that never has to be paid back. It does not prepare applications for any other kind of finance.
3. Projects, plans and payment
Free accounts include 5 projects that never expire. A project is a document, a CV or LinkedIn review, a conversion or a signature. Paid plans and pay-as-you-go prices are shown on the pricing page in naira, including VAT where it applies. Payments are processed by Paystack; DocuCraft never sees your card details.
Subscriptions renew monthly until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
4. Hiring an expert
- Sending a request is free. When an expert accepts, you pay the agreed price and DocuCraft holds it.
- The money is released to the expert when you approve the work. If you don’t respond, it is approved automatically after 5 days, shown as a date in the job.
- If nothing is delivered by the agreed date, you receive a full refund.
- Disagreements are reviewed by DocuCraft, which may refund in full or in part, or release payment.
- Keep payment and communication on DocuCraft. Asking for or making payments outside the platform can lead to suspension.
5. For experts
Experts keep 85% of each job; DocuCraft keeps a 15% service fee, shown before you accept a job and fixed once you accept. You must have the skills you claim, deliver what you agree, keep client documents confidential and use them only for the job. Payouts are made to a verified account in your name when you request them.
6. Acceptable use
Don’t use DocuCraft to create false or misleading documents, impersonate anyone, infringe someone else’s rights, harass other users or attempt to break, overload or bypass its security.
7. Your content
You own what you write and upload, and the documents you create. You allow DocuCraft to process it to provide the service. We don’t use your documents to train AI models.
8. Seals and verification
A DocuCraft seal shows that a file is unchanged since it was sealed and who signed it. It doesn’t certify that the content is true.
9. Suspension and closing your account
We may suspend accounts that break these terms, after looking into it. You can close your account at any time from your workspace or through the Help centre.
10. Liability
DocuCraft is provided with reasonable care and skill. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for decisions made by funders, institutions or employers, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
